Food & Health

Screen Shot 2018-12-03 at 2.45.06 PM.pngWe feed Fendi a mix between dry dog food & raw diet. Fendi was weaned onto a raw diet with her breeder. For the first few months with her, we continued this.

This process had been a bit of trail and error as we were keen on doing it ourselves. We basically had to track her pooping schedule and energy level to come up with the best mix possible. However, our desire for both consistency and, to be completely honest, to save money & time, we now balance her between mostly dry dog food (our vet recommended Science Diet for Large Puppies) with the addition of raw meat & produce.

We also allocate some of her dog food in lieu of dog treats. This is great because she works for her food and the small size of the food make perfect sized treats.

Currently we have her eating approximately 2 Lbs per day with a mix of:

  • Ground chicken
  • Liver
  • Chicken feet
  • Chicken wings
  • Broccoli
  • Carrots
  • Banana
  • Apple
  • Egg

*Please note, there are plenty of programs that pre-package raw food for dogs*
