Welcome! I first started this to collect information, tips, and share stories of raising a large, highly intelligent and energetic dog in the city as I found there are not as many resources as you’d expect online. Fendi was raised downtown Miami; I wanted to share our experiences, both rewarding and challenging, of raising a big dog in a not-so-big, high traffic condo.
Since relocating to Las Vegas, things have changed a bit! London, Fendi’s new sister is being raised in a home community. While I am not facing all the same challenges as brining up the puppy in a high rise, there are plenty of new ones!
Fendi is a female 1.8 year old 82 Lb European Doberman. Her parents are Vadar (Sire) and Khaleesi (Dam) of Doberman Ultimatus. We could not be happier with her temperament & look. Fendi is extremely calm, easy going, and a true gentle giant.
She is a perfect example of the breed. Her favourite activities are fetch, hiking, wrestling, swimming & sleeping.
Khaleesi & Vadar
London is a 14 week old female. She comes from a backyard breeder in LA. Both parents had wonderful temperaments and are beautiful dogs. She was born right in the midsts of the COVID-19 crisis so I was so happy to give a puppy in need a home!
She is the definition of a “velcro dog” and wants to be touching us or Fendi at all times. She is a very outgoing and absolutely fearless. While we are very happy with this, it can often result in bigger training challenges as she is easily distracted & wants to say hello to every passerby.
Merina & Daniel
Before Fendi, I had been researching Dobermans for about 3 years. I had always admired the breed and wanted a dog that was protective and intimidating to the eye, but sweet very and trainable. I have been an animal lover my whole life and have had many dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents, and horses growing up. I have lived in a Canadian cities (Windsor, Calgary & Toronto) but it wasn’t until my move to Miami where i had the time and resources to properly care for my first Doberman. She is not only my first Dobe, but also large dog in general.
Now the girls and I enjoy Vegas living with Danny. These are his first dogs and he is now also in love with the breed. They fit our lifestyle perfectly. We all enjoy long walks, beautiful hikes, park outings and days at the beach.
NOTE: I am not a dog trainer by any means and any of advise has been from research, vet & professional recommendations and personal experience.
